Thank you for using the "Webpage Q · Self-Test Generator" browser extension (the "Extension"). We take your privacy and information security seriously. This policy clearly explains what data the Extension processes, why, and how we protect it.

2我们收集的信息Information We Collect

本扩展遵循“本地优先”原则，仅在你主动触发时处理完成功能所必需的信息：

The Extension follows a "local-first" principle and only processes the minimum data required, and only when you actively trigger it:

  • 当前网页正文：当你点击“生成自测卷”时，扩展读取当前标签页的可见文本，用于生成与页面相关的题目。
  • Current webpage text: When you click "Generate", the Extension reads the visible text of the active tab to build relevant questions.
  • 你的设置：所选 AI 模型、API 端点、API Key、答题偏好等，仅保存在浏览器本地。
  • Your settings: chosen AI model, API endpoint, API Key, quiz preferences — stored only in your browser.
  • 题目指纹缓存：在本地缓存已生成页面的指纹，避免重复调用接口。
  • Question cache: locally caches fingerprints of generated pages to avoid duplicate API calls.
我们不会收集任何个人敏感信息，包括姓名、邮箱、手机号、账号密码、支付/位置/健康/财务数据。 We do not collect any sensitive personal data: name, email, phone, passwords, payment, location, health, or financial information.

3信息的使用How We Use Information

  • 基于网页内容生成自测题目与解析；
  • Generate self-test questions and explanations from page content;
  • 在浏览器侧边栏展示题目、答题界面与成绩统计；
  • Show questions, quiz UI, and score stats in the browser side panel;
  • 保存偏好以提升体验，并避免重复调用接口。
  • Save preferences and avoid duplicate API calls.

4数据共享与第三方服务Sharing & Third Parties

核心功能依赖你自行配置的第三方 AI 接口（如 OpenAI 兼容端点、Gemini、豆包等）。当你主动点击“生成”时，网页文本会被发送至你配置的 AI 服务商以生成题目。

The core feature relies on a third-party AI endpoint you configure (e.g. OpenAI-compatible, Gemini, Doubao). When you click "Generate", page text is sent to your chosen provider.

我们的承诺：除向你所配置的 AI 服务发送必要文本外，我们不会出售、出租或转让你的数据给任何第三方；不会将数据用于与本扩展核心功能无关的目的；不会用数据判断信用或用于贷款。 Our promise: except sending necessary text to your configured AI service, we will not sell, rent, or transfer your data to any third party; will not use it for purposes unrelated to the Extension; will not use it for creditworthiness or lending.

5数据存储与安全Storage & Security

  • 设置、偏好与缓存均存于浏览器本地存储（扩展存储 API），不会上传到开发者服务器；
  • Settings, preferences, and cache live in your browser's local storage — never uploaded to our servers;
  • 发往第三方 AI 的数据受其各自隐私政策约束，建议你使用前阅读；
  • Data sent to third-party AI is governed by their own policies — please review them;
  • 我们不持久化保存你访问的网页内容或生成的题目。
  • We do not persistently store the webpages you visit or the questions generated.

6你的权利Your Rights

  • 随时在扩展设置中修改或删除 API Key 等偏好；
  • Modify or delete your API Key and preferences anytime in settings;
  • 通过浏览器扩展管理页卸载扩展，即可清除全部本地数据。
  • Uninstall the Extension via your browser to clear all local data.

7儿童隐私Children's Privacy

本扩展不面向 13 岁以下儿童，也不会故意收集其个人信息。

The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8政策更新Changes

我们可能不时更新本政策。更新后将在此页面发布并更新顶部生效日期；重大变更将在扩展内显著提示。

We may update this policy periodically. Updates are posted here with a revised date; significant changes are highlighted in the Extension.
